TIMBERPLAY Playful Gardens At Dobbies

Dobbies, one of the UK’s leading garden centre businesses, has been developing its play and adventure areas for children at its new-build centres.

In keeping with its love of nature and planting, Dobbies have adopted a very naturalistic theme to the play areas – using many items from play specialist Timberplay.

Three new stores benefiting from the new play features are Livingston and Braehead in West Lothian, Scotland and Ashford in Kent.

The Livingston & Braehead stores benefit from the uniquely designed Big Bird Platform which is suitable for children 4 years and above. The friendly look and design of the Big Bird Platform is attractive to children and entices them to play. A rope nest and slide offers play value, encouraging movement, climbing and role play – a delight for any child.

The woodland play area at Ashford in Kent has a Tower Combination as its focal point. Various play features are included within the Tower Combination such as an Inclined Climbing Net and Rope Bridge making it irresistible for children to play.

Other Timberplay features within the play area are a Woodland Trail with Climbing Ropes and Balance Blocks. The Small Playhouse is a wonderful place for little minds to feel special, to hide, make friends or to indulge in role play.

Commenting Joanne Sheridan, Sales and Design Area Manager at Timberplay says, “Timberplay has been working with Dobbies for several years to supply play equipment for the children of families visiting their garden centres. They have selected some of our more unusual and eye-catching pieces that offer play value, and which continue to work really well for them.”

David Clark, Dobbies development manager said: “Our garden centres are places where families come to meet and spend time. Our outdoor play areas for children are important to our customers with children so we’re delighted to be developing these further with woodland play areas for little ones to be entertained. Timberplay offered us product quality, choice and value whilst supporting the natural feel of our play areas.”
