IDEAL STANDARD Unveils CeraMix Blue - A Groundbreaking Water & Energy Savings Innovation

New standard in bathroom economies can save up to €430 - per year

ISH 2011, FRANKFURT, GERMANY – Ideal Standard International, the leading bathroom solutions provider, today launched a new water and energy saving innovation, CeraMix Blue, created by award-winning design house Artefakt under its flagship brand Ideal Standard. This range has been created in line with its brand ethos “Inspired by Real Life”, reflecting a deep understanding of the personal and intimate role the bathroom plays.

Continuously aiming to improve its products with regards to their impact on the environment, Ideal Standard CeraMix Blue represents a new era in water management taps. Following on the success of the earlier taps range - Ideal Standard Attitude - CeraMix Blue takes the eco-challenge one step further. Offering the most energy savings in the market this new range was designed for those seeking to reduce water and energy costs without compromising on aesthetics, functionality, increased safety and eco-consciousness.

Setting a new standard in water and energy savings
The Ideal Standard CeraMix Blue range offers end-users savings of up to €430 per year. These savings are possible thanks to a new innovation in the internal design of the tap mixer and cartridge. Compared to an average tap, stagnant water in the spout is reduced by more than 80%, enabling the desired water temperature to be reached up to 90% faster than normal. As a result, CeraMix Blue offers a fantastic return on investment by enabling less water and energy to be consumed thereby lowering bills. All CeraMix Blue taps are certified with the highest WELL (Water Efficiency Labelling) ratings. WELL certification is only awarded to products demonstrating immediate and recognisable savings whilst meeting international standards.

“In the 21st century, dealing responsibly with water and energy is crucial. Our futures and that of our planet are at stake. As a bathroom manufacturer, we are taking that responsibility seriously and addressing the issue of sustainability; ensuring that we create products which waste less water and enhance energy savings. CeraMix Blue is a breakthrough innovation in water and energy saving design. We will continue to expand our focus on providing ecologically-minded solutions which guarantee greater efficiency,” said David Hamill, Chairman Ideal Standard International.

Safety features
Thanks to the IdealPure technology, Ideal Standard CeraMix Blue has lead-free and nickel-free water carrying components on basin and kitchen mixers, for improved quality of the drinking water. This meets World Health Organisation guidelines, expected in 2013, which will recommend lower levels of hazardous metals in contact with drinking water.

The Ideal Standard CeraMix Blue range is available across Europe.
