Fifty years after introducing its vertical tubeless boiler, Fulton
Limited has launched the VMP, a new range of vertical boilers
combining high output and efficiency with a small footprint and low
The seven-model range of vertical multi-port tubeless steam boilers features Fulton’s latest innovation – multi-port thick walled pipes with removable, full-length turbulators that provide uniform heat transfer and speed-up boiler start time. The Schedule 80 constructed exhaust pipes also reduce maintenance by eliminating the need to replace worn or broken tubes.
The VMP range, which is also equipped with a Fulton designed and manufactured LoNOx power burner, which fires down the full length of the furnace, can be supplied with gas, oil or dual-fuel fired burners. Outputs range from 80 to 150 hp (784 to 1471 kW); with a maximum fuel-to-steam operating efficiency of 85%.
Commenting for Fulton, Sales and Marketing Manager Carl Knight says the new high-output VMP bridges the gap between the company’s existing J Series vertical boiler and its horizontal RBC boiler, and is ideal for applications where the high output of the RBC is required with the smaller footprint of a vertical boiler. He adds that the introduction of the VMP also means that Fulton now offers a complete steam and hot water solution for all types of industrial applications.
