EATON-WILLIAMS Neutralising Heat At DCW

Eaton-Williams ServerCool™ (servercool@eaton-williams.com) will be at this year’s DataCentre World & Expo focusing on solutions to help data centre managers to improve their heat management whilst reducing power consumption and maximising cooling efficiencies.

Exhibiting on Stand 30, ServerCool will be displaying server racks and cabinets alongside its CDU 20, 150 and its award winning rear door heat exchanger (RDHx) that provides resilient close control cooling - judged to be the most energy efficient solution by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group two years running - for medium, to high heat density server racks and uses 20% less energy than conventional CRAC units.

With data centres predicted to be using use 1,963 billion kilowatt hours of electricity by 2020, controlling power and consumption is high a high priority for the industry. With the need to address the requirements of the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC), now is the time to reassess your data centre’s design, cooling requirements and implement a strategy for managing heat loads with one of the most effective solutions, rear door heat exchangers that remove the heat directly at source.

ServerCool is part of the Eaton-Willams Group, a leading UK manufacturer that can provide a complete turnkey solution package of energy efficient data centre air conditioning products for low, medium and high density applications. In addition to rear door heat exchangers, CDU’s (Cooling Distribution Units), close control units, and heavy duty floor grilles, a full range of air and water cooled chillers are available, fully supported by an international service and installation team.

*ServerCool’s server cabinets and rear door heat exchangers (RDHx) are designed to absorb up to 50kW of heat per rack at source and its CDU (Cooling Distribution Unit) was developed for IBM to work with the company’s Cool Blue and iDataplex rear door heat exchangers.

Eaton Williams is the only CDU manufacturer specified worldwide by IBM in its RDHx planning guides.
